Performance in multiple realities. Theatrical resource inheritance in Pathologic 2

From 2023 to 2025, I participated in the “Estudia e Investiga” (Study and Research) program at Universitat Jaume I. During this period, I collaborated with Dr. Alberto Porta Pérez on a research project that culminated in a peer-reviewed article published in June 2025 in the journal TeCREA.

My work focused on a performative analysis of video games, exploring the intricate ways in which theatre and ludonarrative media entwine. Using Pathologic 2 (Ice-Pick Lodge, 2019) as a primary case study, I analyzed how the game adopts dramatic techniques and theatrical heritages to shape player experience.
